Short answer? 6 weeks minimum, typically 2-3 months. Several factors contribute to lead time. All finished sculpts need to dry for AT LEAST 4 weeks before I can fire the without risk of breakage. I work on projects sequentially, so if there are others ahead of you in queue that will significantly affect the lead time for new orders. Plan ahead, and let me know if you have a special deadline that I might be able to accomodate.
MUGSHOTS. Digital photos. Many, good quality photos of the subject individuals. I need a clear profile taken from the level of the subject’s nose, from about 4-6 feet away, HOLDING A VISIBLE, VERTICAL RULER IN FRONT OF THE FACE SO I CAN GAGE SIZE. I need a clear front view of the subject’s face with the expression you want to capture, taken from about 4-6 feet away, HOLDING A VISIBLE RULER BELOW THE CHIN SO I CAN GAGE SIZE. And as many more photos as you can provide, from many views.
I don’t take any money on custom orders until the product meets with your approval and is ready to ship. I send you photos of the finished work and ask for your OK, and pack everything up and calculate shipping. Only then do we figure out how you’ll pay… many options available. I ship upon receipt of payment.
It varies, and it depends. A typical finished single head planter (no drip tray) would fit in a 12 x 12 x 12 box, and might weigh around 8 lbs. You can calculate the cost for that at USPS.com, to your zipcode from 54871. $25 to $45 might be a good estimate, a complicated grouping would likely be more. Postal rates have gone up, and I find myself using UPS more frequently these days for the larger, heavier boxes.
